Spring is a coming……
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7
Happy Monday! Happy Spring!
Now, I know what you are thinking……
Look at the white covering out there
And listen to the freezing rain
That doesn’t sound like spring.
But
We know it is now officially spring.
And on the weekend
I took this pics of my crocuses
Poking their beautiful faces up out of my flower boxes.
Crocuses are such a beautiful example of how we are to live.
They grow where they are planted!
They bloom when it is time to bloom,
Regardless of what is going on around them.
And they bring joy.
Last year my crocuses began to grow under the dome of snow by which they were completely covered
Inspired by their determination
And their willingness to grow and bloom on time
In spite of the weather
I got my shovel and dug them out.
And we enjoyed their beauty in the midst of the snow bank.
This year there is no snow covering them
But Saturday morning it was bitterly cold
The wind nipping at their tiny buds
In spite of that they bloomed.
And on Sunday morning, in the sun,
And on Sunday morning, in the sun,
They opened their little faces heavenward.
And today, although they are covered by a skiff of snow
And Spring looks a far way off
They remind me that I don’t live by what i see
But by what I believe
And know to be true.
Spring is here!
My God is faithful above all things!
So go forth today like the crocuses
Grow where you planted!
Bloom despite your circumstances
And bring joy!
And remember………
