Perspective

The LORD is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation.
Psalm 118:14

This is the day the LORD has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

You are my God, and I will praise You;
You are my God, I will exalt You.
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
Psalm 118:28

Happy Wednesday!
Feels a bit like spring here in Porter’s Lake.
The snow is soft and slushy
And it is sooooooooo mild!
Nico has gone for his nap
I finally found a cup of tea
Devotions are out in front of me.

This verse was on my mind this morning as I got up:
The name of the LORD is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10

And after my devotions in Revelation
God pointed me to Psalm 118
A wonderful Psalm of praise and rejoicing in the Lord!

And I thought,
What a wonderful way to start the day
In the Word of God
Lifting up my voice and my hands
In praise and worship.

What a way to get out of my own way
And focus my eyes heavenward
Onto the One who is in control of all things.

This life
This daily living
It’s all about perspective.
I can look outside today and see the slush as messy and wet
Or as a sign that spring is a coming!
I can open my eyes in the morning in fear and wondering what I will have to face
Or I can open my eyes in excitement and anticipation of what God has in store.
I can set my feet on the floor and begin worrying about yesterday and tomorrow
Or I can dance my way out of bed.
I can choose to look at my circumstances
Or I can choose to look to the lover of my soul.

How is your perspective this morning?
Does it need a little adjusting?
Grab your Bible
And dig in
There are many words of encouragement and direction and LIFE for you today.
There is a WORD for whatever season you find yourself in
There is a WORD for every circumstance.
Write it out
Stick it on your fridge or mirror or desk
But most of all
Settle it in your heart!

Is your cup half full
Half empty
Or FLOWING OVER!
