My Strength and Song

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!
Psalm 118:24

And in that day you will say:

“O LORD, I will praise You;
Though You were angry with me,
Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.

Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
‘For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song;
He also has become my salvation.’ ”

Therefore with joy you will draw water
From the wells of salvation.

And in that day you will say:

“Praise the LORD, call upon His name;
Declare His deeds among the peoples,
Make mention that His name is exalted.

Sing to the LORD,
For He has done excellent things;
This is known in all the earth.

Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion,
For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!”

Isaiah 12

And it is Monday again!
Can someone please tell me where the time is going?
It is a beautiful fall day and homemade stew and bread are on the menu for this evening.
We spent a wonderful weekend in the Presence of the Lord as we spent time at special Anniversary Services at Full Gospel Church. God is faithful to meet His people at their point of need and in the midst of praise and worship.
This morning I just didn’t have the “umph” that I would have liked but as I turned to the Word of God for strength and direction I was reminded of where my “umph” comes from:

For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song.

So despite my lack of motivation this morning, I am blessed to be able to turn to My Lord and rest in the strength that He has for me, sufficient for the day.  And in the midst of that, He will give me a song to move by.

What  or who are you relying on for strength and motivation this morning?
Turn to the One who is so much more reliable and powerful than even that first cup of coffee!
The Lord God Almighty, Creator and Sustainor of Heaven and Earth!
