Moments
Breath by breath
We inhale and exhale together
For days
And then with the last breath
We inhale sharply
And exhale slowly
Marking the beginning of one moment
And the end of another
Moments
Strings of moments
Making up our lives
Holding us together
In the midst of the things that are falling apart
The knowledge that even as one moment marks endings
The next moment
If we allow it
Marks another beginning.
So glad to be able to share these last weeks and days with my family
Treasuring final moments
Together.
And looking forward in faith, and hope for the moments that are to come.
