By His Stripes We Are Healed
Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no form or comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:1-5
Happy Monday!
Happy Election Day!
Happy HEAVY FROST ON MY CAR IN OCTOBER day!
Happy ham waiting to be made into pea soup day!
So many things to be happy about on this beautiful sunny but cool morning.
Monday’s can be difficult as they signal the first day back to work after a weekend that never seems to be quite long enough….
But Monday’s also signal a new start
A fresh beginning
New “to do” paper lists.
Today, at the beginning, I pause and give thanks for my Lord, Jesus Christ and His redeeming and healing work on the cross, for me, for you, for all of us who call on His precious Name.
How wonderful to be reminded of the love of Christ for me,
That He bore my griefs and carried my sorrows on the cross
Not only that I could have eternal life
But that I could walk in a loving relationship with Him.
It is in that relationship that healing takes place
Physical healing, emotional healing, spiritual healing.
So today, I choose to walk in that healing
Moving forward in the strength of the Lord
Who walks beside me every step of the way.
Be blessed, be a blessing
Go forth in healing and relationship
And live!
