And the snow came

For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
“For you shall go out with joy,
And be led out with peace;
The mountains and the hills
Shall break forth into singing before you,
And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Isaiah 55:8-12
And the snow came
Falling softly
Whipped about by the wind
Little flakes
Accumulating quickly
Great day to be tucked indoors
With family
And tea
And a good book or two
And today all is white
Pure
Glistening in the sun
A few flakes drift by in the sudden gust of wind
And the snow is full of sparkling diamonds
And everything is fresh and new
And I am reminded of the Word of the Lord
“my thoughts are not your thoughts”
BUT He promises
“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void”
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. 2 Corinthians 1:20

Are you waiting on a promise today?
Just remember
The Word says
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there…”
“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void”
So just like that beautiful covering of white
Come down from the heavens
That covers all things today
God’s Word will fall
In power and might
And will not return void.

Rest on His Word
Rest on His Words
Rest in Him.
