Whiter than snow
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
What an amazing promise from the Word of God
Everyday we move through this world
Becoming soiled and weary in the process
Shining as lights in a darkened place
Our own light dimming sometimes in the heaviness of that we see around us
BUT GOD…..
Christmas is a season of BUT GOD….
The world was dark and still
Not having heard the voice of God for 400 years
BUT GOD…..
Sent His only Son
Born as a baby
To a town in Bethlehem
His Cry breaking the barrenness of the land
Covering all things
Taking away the dull and uninspiring
And replacing it with wonder.
That Son went to the cross
And by His precious blood
Covered all things
Taking away the dull and uninspiring
And replacing it with wonder.
Cleansing our sin
And making it white as snow.
We need to be covered each and every day
In the wonder of that Love
In the cleansing power of the Love of Christ.
That we might be whiter than snow
Clean
Bright
A Light shining in the darkness.
The world is full of light and wonder and beauty and all things new
We just need to be covered in the love of Christ
That our eyes might be open
That we might behold the beauty that sits in the midst of darkness
That we might shine, unsoiled and untouched
By that which we are surrounded by
Not allowing it to dim our light
And our love.
