Whom shall I fear?

The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1

Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.
One thing I have desired of the LORD,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD,
And to inquire in His temple.
For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
Psalm 27: 3-5

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the LORD
In the land of the living.
Wait on the LORD;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the LORD!
Psalm 27:13-14

Happy Monday and Happy February!
How the time is flying!
It is a quiet morning here in Porters Lake
Nico and I slept in
The bed felt soooooooooooo good
The day is mild
Although kind of gray
The snow is quickly melting away.
I see great big paw prints in the back yard again this morning
And the neighbor posted coyote noises from last night
So, that explains a lot!
Great to live out in the woods!
It is a slow starting day
Tea still on the go
And just finishing up devotions.
Just looking on Facebook at pics of my cousins’ new baby boys
Such a blessing and so cute.
John Joseph and Jacob Daniel!

Birthday wishes going out to my baby sissy and about 10 other people I know who are celebrating today.
Be blessed on your most special day!
Today’s Psalm is a great one
Full of hope and encouragement.
When the time is flying by
And you feel like you can’t quite keep up
When obstacles are mounting
And fear creeps in
Where do you turn?
There is only one place to hide

For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
Psalm 27: 3-5

Where your desires are, will dictate WHO/WHERE you turn to in times of need
The Psalmist declares his desire for the Lord above all things:

One thing I have desired of the LORD,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD,
And to inquire in His temple.

People will come and people will go
People with great intentions will fail
Circumstances change with the raising and the falling of the celestial bodies
One day moves into the next
And things change in the blinking of an eye
And faster
But God…….

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Hebrews 13:8

But the Word of God……
All flesh is as grass,

And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
But the word of the LORD endures forever.
1 Peter 1:24-25

So today
Monday
February 1st
At the beginning of this new day and new month
Be encouraged in the Lord!

Wait on the LORD;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the LORD!
Psalm 27:13-14
