She Shall Not Be Moved

Psalm 46
God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah
There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,
The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved;
God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.
The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved;
He uttered His voice, the earth melted.
The LORD of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah
Come, behold the works of the LORD,
Who has made desolations in the earth.
He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He burns the chariot in the fire.
Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!
The LORD of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah
Today is the day that the Lord hath made!
Today is the day that the Lord hath ordained!
Today is the day that the Lord hath placed us in the midst of!
Therefore, I WILL trust that He is still on the Throne and in Control!
I will not allow the enemy to steal my faith
I will not allow the enemy to steal my joy
The Lord of host is with us
The God of Jacob is our refuge.
It is a crazy world we live in
Storms and politics and situations that are beyond our control
Beyond our control to fathom
Beyond our control to change
Who is your refuge and strength today?
Where do you run when the winds blow
And the waters flow
And the very foundations of your life begin to shake?
The Word of God tells us

God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
And what comfort does that offer?
Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah
And what does that tell me about my future?
There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,
The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved;
God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.

And how am I to wait on the Lord in the midst of the storms that rage?
Be still and know that I am God

As your storm rages
Hurricane Matthew
Uncertain politics
Bomb threats
Crazy clowns
Dry wells
Financial concerns
Health concerns
Spiritual dryness
A myriad of uncertainties
As your storm rages
Run
Run to the refuge and strength of Almighty God
Seek His face
Seek the comfort found in the secret place of the Most High
The Shadow of the Almighty
Be still
Cease the worry
Cease the busy activity
Cease the religious activity
Be still and wait upon the Lord
In relationship
You will find a peace that passeth all understanding
A sweet peace the overrides the storm
A place of protection and refuge in the very midst of that storm you find yourself in.
A place of protection and rest
A place of abundant life!

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved;
God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.
Psalm 46:5
Your dawn is coming!
Faint not
Stay strong!
